THE BANE O' SCOTLAND

Japanese knotweed has a wicked reputation as an unstoppable thug in England.

In Scotland it's this fellow - the beautiful (for a couple of weeks in spring) rhododendron... It thrives on the acid soil & has usurped more hundreds of thousands of acres than I care to imagine :o(
