Amputation !

Whilst I was walking alongside an avenue of trees this morning in Tyninghame Woods I was noticing how sinewy and muscular some of the  branches and limbs of the trees were and this had me comparing them with human musculature. And then I saw how many of the trees had had branches removed leaving them with gaping wounds........
