During many visits to Loch Ordie in the Perthshire hills we have seen it in snow and ice with deer on the shores and in summer have seen ring ouzel and watched osprey fishing. Today as we sat eating our picnic while sheltering from the heavy rain, two cuckoos were calling nearby and it seemed that the troubles of the world were far away.
