These gents...

...joined me on a birthday hike this afternoon after Church this morning and lunch.

It was a beautiful day and I love to be out and walking so seemed like the perfect birthday activity for me today. A while since we have taken this route and it was a little longer than I and MrR remembered...ended up at an 11km round trip! The wee fella moaned a wee bit but he was a star.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again...we are so lucky that we can be out in the countryside and nature just a 10 minute walk from our front door.

Stopped if for a wee cola in the Torbrex Inn in the way home...that revived him a bit.

Home for Birthday tea and I made a new recipe for us, goats cheese and watercress quiche...it was tasty even if I do say so myself.

Some birthday cake and then we watched Evita.

I am grateful to be celebrating birthday 47 and to have spent the day with people I love and activities I enjoy. I am truly blessed.
