Fields of yellow
I was determined to get some photos of rapeseed fields so after breakfast I set off to find some - I had seen some from the motorway and tried to work out how to get there but I was guessing the location and road names, so I was not sure I would find them. About 25 miles later I found these - there was no where to park and I could not get the view that I wanted, I got stung by nettles and so it was all a bit frustrating. At least I got blue skies with white clouds which is what I had hoped for.
I got back home again in time for my dentist appointment. I then went to photograph a patch of dandelions I saw yesterday, it was a very dense patch on the side of the road and I knew the light would be just perfect - only to find they had been mowed down this morning!
After lunch Luke and I went back to Kingston to get a few things for him. He has a check up with the knee surgeon on Monday evening and then on Tuesday he flies back to Berlin. It's all a bit sad that he is going back again, as he has enjoyed his time at home - he got completely spoilt with his washing and ironing being done for him, meals cooked and often taken out for coffees and light lunches by me! He does not feel like going back but he is obliged to complete a certain length of time there as part of his degree. He will finish in Berlin at the end of June and comes back home again, but he then immediately starts a 6 week internship in London. I will miss his company, it has been great having him at home.
