Purple twisted hazel

When we were looking at trees for the garden, I wanted a twisted hazel (I'd had one before, and loved the contorted branches).  But I also love the dark foliage of the purpurea variety.  So when we found a purple twisted hazel in a garden centre it just jumped into our trolley.  It has needed attention this spring, as it was growing a few straight, green branches - these have been pruned out.  

It's still very small, so only had a few catkins this year - hope for more next year.  

I woke at 5am once again this morning, so now very tired.  Bed quite soon, I think!
