The Power Of Battersea, London

This is the view I see of Battersea Power Station as I leave Victoria on my train home (hence the reflections in the image!). The hideous building on the right is full of apartments. Why this terrible, ugly carbuncle was given planning permission I have no idea. The power station is totally iconic but it is slowly being surrounded by sub-standard residential blocks that in no way relate to their surroundings or the history of the area. Shameful really, but sums up the get rich avarice of the property developers and builders.
