Belton Woods

Wednesday 9th May 2018 (2075)

I woke at 7am, considered getting up for a swim, turned over and went back to sleep. The alarm when at 8am, I picked up the phone and there was also a text message from my brother and sister-in-law "We're going to play racquetball if you want to join us about 8am". I was on the court 20 mins later, that was certainly one way to wake up! We had a few good games before a shower and breakfast. 

It was my sister-in-laws birthday and we told the waitress. As we finished breakfast they brought a small cake on a large plate with Happy Birthday written across the plate in chocolate. A lovely gesture.

After packing the car we went for a gentle walk through the woods before setting off home. I had a few hours rest in Leeds and drove back over the Pennines early evening. We've had a great couple of days and Christmas is now finally over.
