Closing In

Back into London for me (Chris) today. The office was ridiculously hot, not conducive to high levels of productivity but we soldiered on.

This evening I went to the Barbican cinema to watch "New Town Utopia". Described as a documentary feature about utopian dreams and concrete realities, it's the story of the new town of Basildon in Essex told through the eyes of residents mainly with an artistic side to their characters. It's well worth seeing as a reflection of post war social history or if you're interested in the whole new town concept and how it's viewed now.

A wide angle view of the encroaching developments around the Lloyds of London building which seem to grow by the week now. The sun is in there somewhere!
