Creative Toasting

With the power still out, we've had to get creative. It turns out the wood stove that heats our entire house is also good for toasting bread. We shower by candlelight, dine by firelight, and refrigerate with coolers full of ice.

We are lucky to have city water that still runs and a natural gas hot water heater. We also have a gas stove for cooking and this wonderful wood stove for heat. We don't expect the power to come back on any time soon, but we're making do with what we have. We're fortunate to be safe and together, with very minor damage to the house.
