The cheapest toys are the best
Bailee is suddenly scared of walking on the sand because of 'big rocks'. I had a bright idea today to let her wear her jelly shoes on the beach..... problem solved! Duh?
I went on a mission at lunch time to track down another plastic truck as we left Oscar's at the pools a couple of days ago and haven't been able to track it down since. We bought them at the supermarket for 8 dirhams (1 pound 30p or 2.5 NZD). I felt very proud of myself to find one last truck hidden behind some buckets and spades on the shelves. When we got home, Oscar fished it out of the shopping bag and went to get Bailee her one. It was then discovered that we had left her one at the pools yesterday so were therefore back to square one!
Fortunately Oom the lifeguard had rescued it and to Bailee's delight put it aside for us :-)
Oscar and Bailee played with these little trucks for almost two hours on the beach. Oscar is enjoying spotting the different coloured Kayaks in the water and they both enjoyed watching a big ship squirt sand onto our manmade island The Palm Jumeriah.
I just love this picture as it captures Ozzy so happy because he is playing with his favourite things, cars and mechanisms.
We walked home and annoyingly the tyre on our buggy split due to riding over something sharp. It has been ordered but will take a couple of weeks to get here from NZ. Bailee and Oscar are very capable of walking and Maple lives in the sling, I just find the buggy useful when you need to carry things as well!
