Last Chance

As I was driving in to golf early this morning I noticed the avenue of ornamental cherry trees at Apple Grove. The light on the trees was just beautiful so I took this image with my iPhone X. I think I was lucky to take it today because the wind has been horrendous all day and when I drove home just after 12.00 most of the leaves were gone. I quite liked the dark moody gate and the stone wall as a contrast to the magical orange leaves.

I only played 9 holes today as it was my first game in quite a few months. Boy I was so pleased I didn’t tackle the back nine. I’ve never played in such windy conditions. There were times I thought the ball was going backwards.
