cuckoo bridge

I don't know why it's called Cuckoo Bridge. It straddles a big roundabout at the junction of the A75 and A76 near Dumfries. I cycled over it today, having been to the cinema to see Hope Springs. Worth going just to see Tommy Lee Jones and Meryl Streep, both great actors. Thank goodness there was some humour in this film to balance out the heartbreaking relationship scenes.

I spent most of the afternoon cooking. S being in Japan, I have a go at the recipe she does so well. It is a torte, and involves boiling and then pureeing a whole orange. If anyone would like the recipe, feel free to ask....
