November, month of my favorite food holiday and filled with family history and lore. My good sport checked out some of the Pilgrim and Thanksgiving decorations I got out this morning . A diversion from the storm sadness and Presidential election hysteria. Campaign spending reaching nearly a billion US dollars... that's unbelievable. The ad saturation is mind numbing, battleground states, early voting, storm wreckage...so many variables shifting back and forth.

The images and stories in the wake of Sandy's path horrify and shock. There are massive commuter problems today, on top of the nightmare scenarios of those with nowhere left to go, nowhere to be.

This day came is bright and cool. Hopefully some of the billions of wet leaves will dry a bit in preparation for a big clean up this weekend.
