And well he might - rather unwisely he had landed in the pond too near to the swan's nest where the Park Bully was keeping guard as his new family were emerging from the eggs this morning. He was not there for very long before being chased off by the Bully.
It was really hard to get a decent shot of the newly hatched cygnets. I was shooting right into the sun, and, the pen was keeping her new family well covered in the nest among the nettles. But, if you check my extra photos you will just be able to see two of the new babies.
