The dead and the dying

We went for a walk along the river Nairn this morning to view the autumn tint.. I have some great pictures but decided on this one for my blip.

For those who believe in life after death I thought this quite poignant. They may have to wait some time to rise again and meet their maker but the trees will be back next year. And yes, its fungi on the tree stump, not something else.
