Olives Anyone?

A busy morning as the guests meant to be arriving tomorrow are arriving today. They were arriving off a cruise ship and didn't tell us when they'd arrive. Ding dong announced their arrival at 11am this morning. I wasn't ready, but they knew this might be the case and left their bags and went out for coffee. Father and adult son this time, Scott and Brian.

Snapped this branch of our olive tree this morning on the roof terrace and wonder if those are tiny leaves or the start of olives. Any idea blippers?
