H-T RACE....crossing the Waddenzee...

the first crossing was in 1975...because of the 100 years Highschool of the zeevaartschool WILLEM BARENDTSZ on Terschelling...
This laid the foundation for the HT Sloepenrace. Incidentally, the approximately 34 km long crossing over the Wadden Sea is one of the heaviest rowing trips in our country. If the weather is not optimal, the battle is entered into with waves, wind and tidal current. There are regular dropouts in this race.
but not this year all of the 136 sloops arrived on Terschelling
THE L.A.Buma from Moddergat was one of them...
