The dropped stitch

Side door. Kirkwall cathedral.
One of many ports of call today. Lovely to step inside. There were quite a few visitors looking round, yet there's always a certain calm and quietness in this ancient building. Very special.

It was a good work day, though I felt a bit weary following a very late night last night. I was choosing fabric for tonight's patchwork group. Finally got a pleasing selection - 3 dark and 3 light, for the log cabin block we'll be doing.

It was a fun evening. Laughs, tea and homebakes and sewing chit-chat.
Topsy-turvy offered me a couple of fabric options which go perfectly with my colours. The best one, from a most unusual source!....

And so to stitching. As is the way with all homework, one leaves the class with such good intentions and then in a flash it's the night before the next meeting and nothing has been done.
Maybe this week will be different....?
