Spring Explodes

We spent the whole day in the garden, raking up the debris of autumn and a long winter, changing to summer tyres on the small car, filling in the drainage channels I dug across the driveway to move water away from The Red House, clearing ditches so the melting snow can drain away, and for half-an-hour mid afternoon, sitting in the sun with a cold beer and a bag of crisps!
The greenery of spring is exploding after being held back by the snow. Yesterday this was a bud, today a cluster of leaves.
