North Queensferry Crossing
We set off from Skye this morning and drove cross country to Perth and then North Queensferry where we're staying for the night. After a meal this evening my intention was to walk down to the Forth Railway Bridge to take a photo from the North Queensferry side to go with the ones I took from South Queensferry earlier in the year. It would have been a fair walk and I didn't have the energy I'm afraid to say so my blip is of the new road bridge taken from out.side the hotel.
Earlier in the day as we drove to the Skye Bridge we had alovely view of mountains and were wondering if the were on the mainland. Getting closer it was clear that it was the Cuillins. We didn't recognise them because we hadn't seen them before. As we passed the Old Bridge at Sligochan which I blipped on Sunday in gloomy conditions, I decided to stop and take a photo with the peaks of the Couillins visible behind it. I'll add that as an extra. You'll note that I now have working internet.
I'd like to thank the driver of the huge lorry and its escort which proceeded ahead of us at 20 mph for 35 miles between Roybridge and Dalwhinnie.
