Lenny and his Ukulele

FRIDAY

The car radio was (unusually) tuned to Radio Leeds as I drove into work at 7:10 am  this morning and I soon realised that the Richard Stead Breakfast Show was being transmitted from St George's Square, Huddersfield.

Richard's  co-presenter was interviewing ninety-year old Lenny who was performing live from the square with the Shelley Over 60s Ukulele Band. Lenny gave such an inspirational and entertaining interview about the intergenerational work done by the band.

As I arrived at the square at 7:35 am Lenny was back entertaining the commuters arriving at the station.
