l bought Flossie a treat today. A small bone filled with some chicken mixture in the core. i never give her bones but the vet said her back teeth were looking mucky and she needed to have something to help clean them up a bit so... a treat. She was delighted with it and licked and licked it. I left her out in the garden for a while with it and actually forgot she had it... until she came inside with a dirty chin some time later. I realised l should remove the bone.. so that she could have it again as a treat later. l went outside and asked her where it was.. she rushed off down to the veg patch. l followed.. naughty minx disappeared into one of the beds and snuffled around under a plant there (rather close to some recently erupting seedlings) l saw footprints over a lot of the patch and disturbings in various areas. I dug a little with a trowel but no sign of it. Then l spotted more disrupted soil in my raised bed... also where seedlings were just appearing... and there was the bone ... buried... shallowly but right where l didnt want her to be burrowing about!!!! I have lost most of the cornflower seeds.. but hey ho.. l guess l will have to wait a little longer to get more to grow.
Also l don't know if you can see yellow patches on her.. not a clue what they are but wonder if it could be caused by euphorbia... any ideas?..
In other news l am delighted to say l have had a painting accepted for an Open Art Competition... how exciting!!
