First Plants

Every year on the Friday before Mother’s Day my friend and I travel to a greenhouse in Massachusetts where her father-in-law got his plants. We’ve been making this pilgrimage for about 20 years and we usually meet up with her sisters-in-law for breakfast after. They come from Maine. The plants are in great shape and the prices very reasonable. They’ll be sold out by tomorrow.   Now we’ll have to wait to plant them because there may be a frost between now and Memorial Day (Last Monday in May). So we’ll wait til end of May.  Taking them out each day and into the garage at night.
