Autumn shadows
A gorgeous but cold day - the frost lay melting on the windscreen when I got into the car to go off for my walk and the temperature gauge was down at 2', but the sun was shining!!
The mists from yesterday were still clinging to the hills but didn't look in the slightest spooky today as the sun was lighting up the surrounding hillside. I met a couple of friends from the art class and we stood and marvelled at the way the mist was moving slowly across the hills, hiding parts and then giving us intriguing glimpses of others. At one time we noticed the snow on the very top of the far hills, then a moment later it was shrouded again. It was a magical unfolding scene.
Instead of the mists I thought I would post this one of myself with my two friends patiently waiting to be let off the leads. My shadow looks quite grotesque - my head looks tiny as it is tucked into my woolly hat and my arms have disappeared into my body and yet they say the camera never lies! At least the autumn leaves are properly represented in their bright crispness.
