The cygnets have appeared at Inverness Campus, and there are at least six of them. My first sighting of them was this morning, and then I found they'd mostly been about yesterday, as recorded by Houseonahill6. Speaking to a regular walker through the campus area at lunchtime, revealed that the first two had hatched a couple of days ago. If I'd walked by the other side of the lochan that evening, I might have seen them. Very windy, so they were staying sheltered in the reeds.
In the couple of extras (if I can get them both to upload), there's a sequence of shots in which a piece of black plastic is checked by one cygnet, and then another, to see if it's edible. It wasn't eaten... on this occasion.
