ode to a plate...

...which belonged to my grandmother

that was all i was going to blip today...

yup... a plate -

but it looked very lonely - bare - empty... i decided it needed something else - put some milk chocolate macadamia nut cookies on it... ahhhh - now we're talking - glorious...

after a few shots though... it occurred to me - i was covering up the wonderful design - sigh... what to do, what to do - well - what would any decent, self-respecting individual do? they'd eat the evidence... right? isn't that what you'd do, too? i bet it is - even if you won't admit it here... once i began - it was a sight for sore eyes... i mean, you can see how it turned out -

crumbs... a half+ eaten cookie... i didn't even really attempt to conceal what i'd done... nope - just left it there - pushing it out of the way - so you could see the pretty pink, old fashioned leaf of the plate - handed down to me... from my mother - from her mother... which i now enjoy on days when i need a pick-me-up... like today - with milk chocolate macadamia nut cookies... and a tall glass of cold milk - yum-o!

i don't regret my actions - i don't even regret it's not a perfectly posed cookie/plate picture... because i think i got the better deal - the cookies are no more - boo! which has made for...
