Dry stone building is a dying art, but when it is carried out in the old manner it is a joy to watch. Many of these stones were simply lying around on the ground until a skilled craftsperson saw their potential as part of a wall. It is often the seemingly inconspicuous thing, or person who can make the difference.
The gift is recognising this hidden potential and taking a risk in using it to build something new. But the risk is worth the effort, for of such things produces creativity!
