Macarons!
I left Rachel's at 8am and went to pick up Lynda, Scott's mum, as she was going to look after Violet while Scott too Scarlett to her swimming lesson, and Rach went to Tatton Park on a work event - an inflatable obstacle course!
After dropping Lynda off, I headed home and whilst there was already quite a lot of traffic, it was moving and I didn't have any holdups - I even got onto the M25 without difficulty and it was free flowing until the junction with the M3, but even then there was only a 5 minute delay.
I decided to stop off at Bicester Village which is more or less the half way point, as we're going to Lorraine's 50th next weekend and I still hadn't bought her a present. I spotted this Laduree Macaron shop and just had to buy some for tonight as they’re my favourite treat, and Laduree are the best! I then had success at the Pandora shop and went to Tommy Hilfiger to get Alan a couple of tops, and was nicely surprised as Tommy has moved to another shop and now sells women's clothes as well! This meant that I was longer than planned and came away with two items for each of us :-)
I finally got home at 3pm and found Alan painting the door in the office - something we've planned to do for a while! I unpacked while he finished and then we went into town to drop my engagement ring off for a quote. It's being sent away but hopefully we'll hear something in the next week of two.
We also had dinner at Jamie Oliver's and then went for a drink to The Plotting Parlour, so it’s been a lovely end to the day!
Hope you've had a good one!
