Makeshift Hammock....

Woke at 5.30am, heard the rain pelting down, checked the rain radar on my iPhone, rolled over and went back to sleep. I had a big bed-sheet airing on a clothes airer near the wood burner. Amelia the Birman decided it would make a nice cosy little hammock. Alas she fell through it so we set it up and used clothes pegs to make it secure for her. Later in the morning son Duncan and I went to the Farmers’ Market then to the Re-Cycling Centre. Duncan bought a rimu chest-of-drawers for $5.00. He plans to renovate it. I bought a dog bed for $1.00. Duncan departed for Nelson in the afternoon.
