Cutting the cake

Last night the band played for the wedding of a friend. She's a  musician that we've all known and played with for many years so when she asked us to play for the after wedding ceilidh we were delighted to do it as a wedding present for them.

It was a lovely wedding in a village hall. They had done everything with the help of friends. They made the bunting, grew the flowers on their allotment pansies growing in pots as table decorations, homemade confetti from blossom petals and the groom made the cake.  It just shows that a lovely occasion doesn't mean having to spend a fortune.

The hall was full of people dancing all night, they're both members of a morris team so there were lots of enthusiastic dancers.

The mid evening food was pie and peas with extra gravy which was delicious!

The blip's not very good as I couldn't get in a good position as guests were crowded around taking photos and I had to snap and run as we were about to play again.

A late bedtime of 2.00am as it was at Stoke On Trent which is quite a drive but at last the roads are quiet in the early hours!
