Very typical Ashworth fixit - my beautiful mum

Finally started to unpack the bags and crate of things we brought home after clearing mum's room hurriedly at the end of April.

I love this photo of her as a young and beautiful woman. I love the curly plastic frame that I always remember of top of dad's chest of drawers and I really, really love the make-do-and-mend 'fixit' so it could stay on show. It sits, for the moment next to her favourite flowers and a small, but beautifully modelled, Nigerian brass figure. What a life ...
