Cheese Scones

When I was a kid my mother would often make scones on a Sunday morning; a batch of fruit ones and another of cheese. Most of them would get eaten still hot from the oven with the butter melting onto them (which would lead my mother to tell us we would end up with a 'bilious attack'!) but a few survived until later in the day. My favourites were always the cheese but nowadays if I want cheese ones I have to make them myself as W prefers the fruit variety. We had some sour cream left over in the fridge from another meal so this morning I used it to make these. It worked really well; probably the lightest scones I've ever made. And whilst W might prefer the fruit ones, she's still happy to have one of these!
