Sis and me!

A pre birthday celebration.
It will be my younger sister’s 70th birthday at the end of the month, and today we took her and my BIL out for lunch.

What a beautiful day it turned out to be.
Fabulous weather. Wall to wall sunshine as we drove up to Austwick for Sunday lunch at the Game Cock Inn.
The countryside was looking it’s best.
All those bright shades of green against that blue sky.
The fields full of sheep and lambs.
The verges full of bright yellow dandelions.
Beautiful.

The roast beef and Yorkshire pudding lunch was delicious.
We managed room for afters too.

Then after a walk round the village we called in at the Courtyard Dairy Cheesemonger .

A wonderful place if you like cheese.
A nice cafe too. We all had coffees and shared fruit cake and cheese. Yummy.
Dropped sister and BIL off. Stayed for a cuppa and chat, and before you know it,it was 6.30pm

A very happy day which we all enjoyed.
