Afternoon Tea at Ting
We had a lovely weekend playing host to a close family friend. I picked C up from the airport on Friday night on the way back home from Nottingham.
I cannot express enough how miserable work is at the moment - the client is lovely but the work just doesn't interest me so it's a constant battle to be focused and pretend that it's all great.
Anyways, Friday evening was a nice dinner at the Rose and Crown and we then a reasonable early to bed night. Saturday morning brought some crappy weather but we went on regardless. We had a lovely day out starting with afternoon Tea at Ting in Shrangri-la in the Shard before having a walk around London and a wander into the Tate Modern. Three of us had a bit of a consensus that we don't like Modern Art.
We headed up the shard afterwards and even with the grim weather the views are still great. I do love that building.
In the evening we met up with another friend of mine and we had a nice dinner.
The train home was a little delayed and just as we got off another guy on the train started shouting some abuse at my husband. We aren't sure what his point was but I think he half listened in on our conversation and then got the complete wrong end of the stick. It was a bit stressful but then at least it happened as we got to our stop.
