Mr. & Mrs. Mallard

I assume Mr. Mallard has taken Mrs. Mallard away from the Boston Public Garden for a Mother's Day* outing to Boston Common.  Here they are, enjoying a little drink.  Perhaps they're on their way to an early dinner and then a play? 

*American mothers are honoured in May, unlike the British ones who are feted in March.
