An outing

What a lovely day I have had, getting away from the presures of packing etc.

We were on the road at 9am and headed south to Oamaru, namely a fabulous place called Riverstone. A top restaurant, stunning gardens both boxed vegie and flower gardens, an awesome play area for children, and shops that are jammed so full of everything imaginable. They are made to look very rustic & old looking. Very easily a day destination.

The weather was a repeat of yesterday and I see we were 25 degs today, just a smidgen below yesterday's 27.

We ate outside and enjoyed a leisurely lunch, then into the Christmas shop to goggle over all the dressed trees of many different colour themes. Ofcourse, I did make a purchase or two. Ever since my Grandchildren have been on the scene I have bought a special christmas tree decoration for each of them, hoping their parents put them in a box for them after using for their own christmas trees. The idea is that when they leave home they will have a nice little selection of decorations.
