Lascaux

I decided to take it steady returning to the UK so today only drove as far as the Dordogne. This gave us the opportunity to stop off at the new Lascaux 4 museum. The reconstruction of the extensive cave network and the paintings was excellent as were the hi tech video and computer animations. The original cave has been shut to the public since 1963 as mould had begun to damage the paintings.
