On guard

The great big and ugly wall is up again in the park. It seems it will be up from now until the middle of July after I checked how many events will be happening in there this summer *sigh*
These two Canada Geese appeared to have only two goslings. I guess that gives them both a better chance of surviving.
Earlier I watched a cormorant dive underwater and attempt to take a coot chick (cootling?), out swimming with its parents. Happily, it didn't succeed as one adult coot chased it away while the other herding the chicks to the bank and safety.
In other news, I went to the doctor for a scheduled appointment about my headaches. Blood tests tomorrow and then hopefully they will come up with the answer
