A Flick Of The Hair, Brighton
Had a fantastic day in Brighton today which featured the following:
Watching a seagull trying to eat a massive cookie and failing.
Listening to a great bluesy band called Marius Bear (they're Swiss!) manfully trying to sing their set on The Belonging Stage on the seafront while it absolutely pissed it down with rain (see first extra shot).
Going to see an excellent exhibition about the photographer Lee Miller at the Friends Meeting House (and buying a print - which I love).
Having the obligatory walk along the pier and taking a shot I decided to call The Last Furlong (see extra shot seven).
Visiting a lovely pub (or maybe three!) for a pint or two.
Buying a t-shirt or two and some more albums.
Taking a self- portrait in my hotel room mirror (see extra shot four) - which I called "The Man Who Thought He Was A Lamp" - a nod to Oliver Sacks.
Just enjoying taking some more shots with my camera (see other extras).
Today's main shot was one of the very rare moments when I managed to get a street shot I was really pleased with. I just thought she was very striking and couldn't believe my luck when she flicked her hair and turned round!
