Went up town to do a few chores at lunchtime. The rain was pouring down and there were rivers in the streets.

Got a foretaste of the christmas shopping horror; only had to go to three places to get specific things but it still took an age - long queues and slow moving people wandering around the shops and getting in my way. I think I will only buy presents this year that I can order online.
