The Plan Was Good, But Abandoned Nonetheless

My plan was to head for Dodnash Woods, this morning to take some woodland Autumn shots. I'd decided that close up shots of Chestnuts on the ground, bursting from their spiky cases would be the subject for today. I've posted a few of these, what turned out to be, also rans on flickr.

As I returned along the path through the woods, this happened and so it was my blip of the day. Later will be whizz bangs and pops. Better get going.
