Pub Sign No. 6.
This is the Pub Sign for 'The House That Jack Built', Burnley Road, Todmorden.
Parts of the building date from the 1600s but the pub was first licensed in 1783 - it was originally called 'The Shoulder of Mutton'.
It continued to trade until 1970 when it closed - but in 1974 it was sold to a Mr. Jack Broom who refurbished it and re-opened in 1975 as 'The House That Jack Built'. It is known locally as 'Jack's House' - an exterior view is my extra.
