More Blue!
Cloudier start to the day so late morning we drove the eight miles to Plas yen Rhiw a 17th century home which was rescued from neglect by three sisters who bought it in 1938.
With love and care they restored the house until 1962 when it became a National Trust Property.
We spent most of our time there following the trails through the woods, orchard and gardens.
Once again l couldn’t help but love the green, again often contrasted by a blue sea view.
The bluebells were just past there best and as the sun broke the cloud the light did them no favours.
But we did find this dappled path leading to the gate that led you back to the house and the bluebells looked better here.
As l’ve not done a bluebell blip this year ( shame on me) l decided upon this one.
We went inside the house and it was a gem, every item had belonged to the Keating sisters and there were no end of artefacts.
We then had lunch outside in the sun overlooking the sea.
As we had spent a good few hours before eating we found there were no scones left!
Made up for that by having Victorian sponge after our sandwich.
Thank you for all your comments, stars and hearts, still having trouble with the internet but will get back to you as and when l can .
