THE SPICE OF LIFE
As I have to cut out salt in my diet, I very seldom use any pre - packed foods, preferring to prepare the dishes and cook them myself, and, I never add salt to anything. So, I have a wide variety of fresh herbs in the garden, with dried herbs and spices on the rack I made a few years ago.
I really enjoy working in the kitchen and am happiest when I'm following a new recipe or trying to create something for the first time, however, tonight I am having pan fried stuffed pilchards, and my for wife I'm doing a salmon, butter and dill with lemon parcel, both served with buttered new potatoes, courgettes, purple sprouting brocolli and yellow carrots.
