Payback

There is a backstory to this flouncy rhododendron.  It was the very first plant I put in when we moved into this house 16 years ago.  I bought it in Woolworth's in Alloa for 50p on a "sale" shelf of tatty, half dead looking plants just because it seemed to reflect exactly how I was feeling  after  moving house in emotionally battering circumstances.  16 years later it is thriving, covered in big, showy flowers which bring me joy every Spring .I like to think of it as payback !
