Apple Pie, anyone?

So I felt domestic and so I thought I'd bake an Apple Pie. I used to be very good at that, you see? Well, ahem. Not anymore, obviously.

The Hubby was very good about it: "Ah, you don't have to serve it to anyone. I'll just put lots of ice cream on it, it'll be fine".

Dear people, if I ever feel domestic again, please do something. Lock me up & throw away the key. Talk me out of it. Tie me to a chair until it fades away... Do something. Anything. Please!

So yes, I know. It looks crap. In fairness, though... I did try a piece (it has raisins soaked in brandy in it, after all) and it really doesn't taste too bad. We are now stuck with a seriously ginormous, ugly but tasty Apple Pie and there's just the two of us.

I will try again. I will go for smaller pies and puff pastry. *crosses fingers*...
