Before it's too late!

I don't want to appear as if I am bringing on Christmas with this Holly picture, but it has to be done now. This is a huge Holly tree outside the house opposite. It is as high as the house and extremely old. At this time of year it is full of berries and looks quite magnificent. But this doesn't last . . . !

The berries provide food for many, many birds and if you look closely at any time you will undoubtedly see birds feeding and sheltering amongst its branches. Apparently it's best for their digestion if they wait until there has been a few frosts, but no one seems to have told the local birds this. Soon, and certainly by Christmas, there will be no berries left. Hence, I need to bring you this picture now . . . before it's too late!
