The Photographer

Ahmed Al-Bazz has been a member of the ActiveStills photography group for about 10 years, and today he came to present some of their work to a meeting of Liverpool Friends of Palestine.

ActiveStills is a co-operative of 12 documentary photographers based in the West Bank, Israel and Gaza whose work aims to contribute towards social and political change in the region. Their work is political and incredibly powerful, and very brave.

All their photography work is "unpaid" and they survive thanks to other jobs. They have published a couple of incredible books. Have a look at their web-site!
