If you were a lobster ...

wouldn’t you choose this decor for your home?  It was definitely a cut above all the other enticing residences in the block.

Our main trip of the day was into Alnwick, where each member of our household had a different item on their shopping list.  Ann’s were slippers from Moshulu - the shop has closed (but she did manage a pint of milk,  and a new bag).  Nic's was a wallet, which he found in the saddlers/leather goods/horsey shop and mine was a new medium sized frying pan from the traditional hardware shop - it’s such an Aladdin's cave of a place.  (Mum loved it too.). We had lunch in Grannies, which was very good and another step down memory lane.  Our waitress was fantastic too.

On the way back we stopped off in Craster, hence the lobster pot residence, and Ann had a short walk and a sit with her newly purchased book from a charity shop (I missed that on my list above) and Nic and I walked a little further towards the castle and took some `surf and castle pics’ in extra. I was also spotted by a camera club friend up was on holiday in the area for a few days.  Maybe we can compare photos when we get back home and find out how differently we’ve captured the area.

p.s. Early Purple Orchid and Primrose on the bank overlooking Football Hole.  My brother and I had an early evening orchid shoot as between us we’d discovered around six specimens on this bank (extra added on 3/06/18)
